Wash and dry the Brussels sprouts. Trim, remove dry leaves, and slice lengthwise.

Pour about an inch of water into a large saucepan and add salt. Bring to a boil.

Set up a collapsible steamer inside. Now, lay the Brussels sprouts in the steamer, cover, and steam until tender, about 7-10 minutes.

With the help of tongs, remove the steamed Brussels sprouts and place them into a mixing bowl. Add the melted butter, more salt (taste to see if more is needed), and pepper. Gently toss everything together. Serve.
