Hiya friends! How are you enjoying the holidays so far? I decided to share my favorite salad recipe today. That’s right. To me, the salad you see in the photo is the best salad in the world. It’s super easy to make and it’s so creamy and tasty! I enjoy it the most with a side of mashed potatoes. Mmm…
Feta cheese is the most valued cheese in my family, and we eat it with everything for two reasons:
- My husband is Bulgarian and feta is very popular in Bulgaria.
- It is THE BEST cheese in the world.
Needless to say, we always have loads of feta in the refrigerator and I enjoy this salad pretty often.
When buying feta cheese, try to find the kind that is sold as a block, not the crumbled kind. The difference in taste is quite significant. I have a post about feta cheese that includes buying tips. Now that I’ve converted you into a feta-lover, let’s make this delicious salad. Serve it for lunch with a slice of fresh bread, or make a filling vegetarian dinner by serving it with mashed/baked potatoes or rice.
- 3 cups sliced cucumbers
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/3 cup chopped dill
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Please note that I didn't add any salt to this recipe. Feta cheese is really salty, so I skipped the salt.
