    Main Ingredients

    • Pasta. Angel hair of other types of pasta can be used.
    • Chicken. You can use chicken breast or boneless skinless chicken thighs. The latter one is juicier.
    • Olive oil. Or another oil of choice.
    • Chicken Seasoning. Garlic powder, paprika, and salt.
    • Butter. To add more creaminess.
    • Onion. For sweetness.
    • Garlic.
    • Tomatoes. Use fresh chopped tomatoes or canned diced tomatoes.
    • Heavy Cream. Or Half & Half.
    • Parmesan.
    • Red Pepper Flakes. For a touch of heat.
    • Parsley. Fresh is best here.

How to make Chicken Angel Hair Pasta

    1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with paprika, garlic powder, and salt.

    Helpful Tips & Tricks

    • Keep the chicken pieces uniform. To ensure that the pieces cook evenly and they are not too big, cut them all into about the same bite-sized piece.
    • Cook the pasta al dente. Since the pasta is going to go into the hot sauce, you don't want it to be overcooked, so cook it to al dente or slightly under.
    • Salt to taste. Between the salt that is added and the salted pasta water, the salt level of this dish will vary. Make sure to taste it before you add more salt.
    • Reserve some pasta water. If you want the sauce to be a little thinner, save some pasta water to use for this purpose. The starch in it will ensure it blends well with the creamy sauce.

    Variations to this Recipe

    • Use other types of pasta. Besides angel hair, you can also make this dish with spaghetti, fettuccine, linguine, and others. Just note that cook times will vary.
    • Substitute another meat. You can also make this recipe with sausage, meatballs, or pork in place of the chicken. Even shrimp would work.
    • Add some vegetables. Make this dish even more satisfying with the addition of spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini, red peppers, or other veggies.
    • Make it spicy. Add some more heat with cayenne pepper or extra red pepper flakes for a bigger kick.

How to Store and Reheat it

You can store any leftovers of this Chicken Angel Hair Pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat it, either warm it in the microwave or place it back in the skillet on the stovetop until heated through. You may need to add a touch of heavy cream or broth to thin out the sauce as it absorbs into the pasta while stored in the fridge.

What to Serve this Chicken Angel Hair Pasta with

    • Salad. Start your meal with a salad, like this Refreshing Cucumber Salad, Marinated Tomato Salad, or Kale Salad with Quinoa.
    • Soup. Serve this Chicken Angel Hair Pasta with a bowl of Hearty Mushroom Soup, Lentil and Kale Soup, or Turkey Cabbage Soup.
    • Vegetables. Pair this pasta dish with some Steamed Broccoli Rabe, Roasted Asparagus, The Best Vegetable Fritters, or Pan-Fried Brussels Sprouts.
    • Bread. Serve this with some crusty garlic bread, dinner rolls, or Potato Flatbread.
