How many of you guys know about semolina? I am guessing there are still many people out there that don’t know about this grain.
Let’s take a moment and straighten this out. Semolina is coarsely or finely ground wheat (durum) that is usually used in making porridge, pudding, pastry fillings, and pasta. It is much like cornmeal, just white in color. I purchase mine from Amazon, but pretty sure it can be found in big supermarkets. Here is an Amazon link, if you’d like to check it out.
Semolina has many health benefits.
- Because it’s low in fat and high in carbohydrates, it provides a lot of energy. So be assured, it will fuel you up for the day.
- It also digests very slowly, so you won’t feel hungry for a longer time.
- It contains magnesium, zinc and other minerals that are a big help for your nervous system.
- It is also an excellent source of iron, which is good for blood circulation.
